Celesta

My name is Celesta and for some unknown and strange reasons I gave birth to an Octopus who today identifies as renowned Quadridexter Rajacenna (the girl who is able to create 8 realistic paintings with both hands and feet at the same time) which apparently inherited my creative genes.

Unfortunately for you she got the most perfect creative DNA and I got stuck to the mediocre shit. So if you are looking for unique art you have to hop over to her website and if you want the disasterpieces, please take a look at my totally useless and disturbing creations if your eyes can handle that.

Actually the disasterpieces are the result of my insane, atrocious, life changing and mainly fucked up childbirth (upcoming disturbing, but nevertheless hilarious book about how my Quadridexter girl came on this earth).

Since that birth day my body has been transformed in a living zombie, but nobody notices that on the outside. Which regarding to creativity means I don’t have much energy to produce or perfectionise my art the way I would have done when I would have had a totally fit body. But sweet daughter practically forced me to create again and upload stuff and the whole sharade. So it’s all her fault I am here.

So here I am presenting you with my glorious artjournals, artjournal backgrounds, illustrations, cartoons and apparently joyful colorful art which actually does look very good in interiors, as wearable art or even as unique gifts. Also you can rip my art apart to glue in your own artjournal books to recreate new pieces of art yourself.

I always have been obsessed with everything paper, pencils, and markers and loved to document absurd thing that has happened in my life and therefore began journaling and drawing when I was still in diapers (memoirs book coming up also).

Since the ancient year of 1972 I’ve been hoarding all kinds of stuff like pictures, cards, magazines, materials or books and even the most random, utterly useless junk like old toys and whatnot. Because, you know: sin to throw away.

When I was 11 my grandma told me to become drawing artist after I created an urban house sketch scene with pencil. Which actually was really good and caused me creation-failure for years after.

My drawing passions always have been creating whimsical houses, urban house sketches, cartoon characters, illustrations of kids and creating artjournal art.

Because of this zombie life I had to compensate my brain with awesome colors which I could not find elsewhere. Maybe it will brighten your days with the happy colors I magically put onto paper or ipad.

Every human crafted creation of whatsoever I think is unique; so is my art and are all made with high-quality materials.

I pour my heart and soul and valuable energy into my creations, hoping that each piece I birth into existence becomes a beacon of joy for those who welcome them into their lives. My art is an extension of myself and I yearn for it to be cherished just as deeply by my customers.

Along with this utterly pointless website I’m gonna spill all my collected memories and life experiences your way.

Think of it as a creative treasure trove for you to dive into and get all inspired and stuff. Probably wondering why on earth are we doing this.

If you’re looking for simple, loose and playful illustrations or artwork to become part of your interior or life; I encourage you to take a look at my shop.

I offer a wide variety of styles to choose from, so you’re sure to find something you love.

I’ve got more styles than a chameleon at a disco, so you’re practically guaranteed to stumble upon something that’ll make your heart do a happy dance. I hope.

I am afraid I am also the founder of the hilarious blogs Celesta All About Life (since 1999), @drawings and @artjournals on Instagram. The whole artjournaling thing is born out of an absurd obsession of glueing, drawing and painting all school agenda’s to the size they don’t fitted my bag anymore. Later on I developed a severe allergy for real paint and after sickness I decided to continue artjournaling in a digital form.

In a nutshell I’ve basically done more in 34 years than most people do in a millennium. As entrepreneur since 1989, of origin coffee importer/expert, but also as KidsTV producer; I have been featured in well known magazines with different projects and did I sometimes appear on national tv.

In my capacity of red carpet photographer and KidsTv producer, I met Richard Gere, Phill Collins, Lorenzo Lamas, Gloria Estefan, David Faustino, Justin Bieber and painted with 33 Dutch celebritities.

All in all my various creative pursuits are just glimpses into a disturbed, colorful, and slightly crazy world that is my mind; which, apparently, has been cooking up creative mischief for over a century. From illustrator to graphic designer, cartoonist to character creator, I’ve been there, done that and probably doodled a quirky caricature of it too.

Well, there you have it: clearly. Just dive in my crazy mix of cozy, cute or wacky art and you’re set.
